in the line of fire. 

I have always admired photojournalist who go into war torn countries, natural disasters, or whatever other crazy situation is thrown at them all for the sole purpose of getting that one shot. That one shot that may end up on the cover of time magazine or may end up representing an entire era like the famous Eddie Adams execution photo from vietnam. You never know how much one photo might say without the limits of language barriers or even cultural differences. 

the photo above is from a series from readers digest called The Longest War. It is a series of photos taken by various photographers in Afghanistan which this month has become the longest military conflict in U.S. History. take a little time to go through the slide show of photos, there is some really powerful stuff in there.
